As practical philosophy, most valid original thought on the subject of politics had been not only completed but tested in the crucible of applied governance before AD 200. Since that time we see mostly “variations on a theme” re-enforcing the concept that there is “nothing really new under the sun”, at least in this context!
Tis sad to note that the value of a broad based education in the liberal arts including the “humanities”, has been supplanted by and large to the “bebop bottom line logic” of the “punk rock” pundits produced mainly by the Ivy League Groupies of the current “in crowd-intellectual” scene.
