Poll: Bush Hits New Low in CNN/Gallup Survey

His approval rating should not be this high:

Public opinion of President Bush hit a new low, with concerns about the war in Iraq driving his approval rating down to 36 percent, according to a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll out Monday.

Only 38 percent said they believe the nearly 3-year-old war was going well for the United States, down from 46 percent in January, while 60 percent said they believed the war was going poorly. And 57 percent said they believe the March 2003 invasion of Iraq was a mistake, near September’s record high of 59 percent in the same poll.

  1. Even Gallop is admitting that the chimperor has a 36% approval ratings — this is an organization that oversamples republicans and told us that chimpy was going to win 2004 by a landslide.

    Real numbers must be worse.

  2. We won’t be safe until his disaproval rating drops to well under thirty percent. All it’ll take for our nincompoop president’s rating to jump From today’s thirty-six percent to over fifty percent approval is another intelligence service (FBI, CIA, whatever) sponsored Anthrax scare. Better yet (for the powers that be) the arrival of the bird flu to our shores. So there’s an urgency now – Either we the people change the world or we’ll be facing the, “Will the last person to leave please turn off the lights.” Which will it be?
