Billionaire and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is giving an additional $10 million to support Democratic candidates in the midterm elections, bringing his total spending in the midterms to $110 million, CBS News reports. Bloomberg donated the money to his super PAC, Independence USA.

“The U.S. economy expanded at a 3.5 percent pace in the third quarter as consumers opened their wallets, businesses restocked inventories and governments boosted spending, marking the strongest back-to-back quarters of growth since 2014,” Bloomberg reports.
