The depth of ignorance among these Christian extremists is unbelievable:

First of all, the president’s father and mother were both atheists. Secondly, the president was named after his father, Barack Hussein Obama Sr.
Third, and most important, it is wildly inappropriate (not to mention a serious sin) for purported Christian leaders, even ones who achieved their leadership the old fashioned way — by inheriting it — to cast doubts on a professed Christian’s faith, even if it’s done by using weasel words like “he has renounced Islam and he has accepted Jesus Christ. That’s what he says he has done, I cannot say that he hasn’t. So I just have to believe that the president is what he has said.”
Franklin Graham’s problem is that he is a hateful bigot who is hellbent on destroying the semi-moderate legacy of father, Rev. Billy Graham, 91, while his father is still alive. Franklin is doing this by pallin’ around with the likes of Sarah Palin, and by spewing hate speech against New Orleans, gays, Hindus, Muslims and others.
There is no hate as intense as the hate of a Christian. They are the supreme haters of humanity. Followed closely, of course, by Muslims, and then all other religions.
The problem with Franklin Graham is that “he is the son of a preacherman.” This God-fearing lunatic was the black sheep of his family until he decided he wanted to take charge of the family preaching business. Franklin came back to Montreat to face his family…he pushed his sister out of the executive seat because she was a girl. His father backed Franklin. Then, he convinced his sweet mother that she could not be buried where she had always said she wanted to be buried in a lovely NC mountain cove. Instead, he built a barn with a talking cow and had his parents buried behind the Christian amusement park. He built his own mecca in his own greedy way.
This is not the man to judge anyone. He is the type of Christian that drove Anne Rice, me and many, many other to leave the Christian religion. He think he is Christian royalty when he is nothing more than a bigot and an embarrassment to Christianity.
Why is anyone listening to Franklin Graham of all people? He is pushing the fallacy that because someone is born to a person who practices a particular religion, that person has no choice of which religion he/she will embrace as an adult. If what I’ve been reading on Right Wing Watch is correct, the young woman, Rifqa Bary, was a practicing Muslim but chose to adopt Christianity as her religion. Based on Graham’s POV, she should never be trusted by Christians because she was born to Muslim parents. This is a great message to send to all those of other faiths who have converted to Christianity. Borrowing some words from Keith Olberman I can say that, “This man is an idiot!”
