Uncovered: MAGA Extremist Candidate for NC School Chief’s Treasonous Jan 6 Video

ABC 11: Michele Morrow, the Republican nominee to run K-12 public education in North Carolina, filmed a video after attending the January 6 riot at the US Capitol urging then-President Donald Trump to put “the Constitution to the side” and use the military to stay in power. In a deleted Facebook livestream she filmed from her hotel room, Morrow called for mass arrests of anyone who helped certify the 2020 election.

Here’s part of what she said:

Harris-Walz Campaign Responds to Trump’s ‘Unhinged’ Chat on X with Elon Musk

“Donald Trump’s extremism and dangerous Project 2025 agenda is a feature not a glitch of his campaign, which was on full display for those unlucky enough to listen in tonight during whatever that was on X.com. Trump’s entire campaign is in service of people like Elon Musk and himself — self-obsessed rich guys who will sell out the middle class and who cannot run a livestream in the year 2024.”

-Statement released by Harris-Walz 2024 spokesperson Joseph Costello after Donald Trump’s unhinged interview with Elon Musk.

Florida Is Mad Scientist DeSantis’ Project 2025 Laboratory

Gov. Ron DeSantis in his Tallahassee laboratory. (Pensito Illustration)

Over the past several years, Gov. Ron DeSantis and the stacked GOP Florida Legislature have been conducting an experiment with Floridians as their lab rats. The hypotheses and methodologies are straight out of the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 playbook.

The Tallahassee Democrat (an ironic name for a newspaper in the capital of a rapidly reddening state) has a pretty good explanation on the topic here:

Project 2025 proposes a dramatic overhaul of the federal government, replacing thousands of civil employees with political hires, expanding the power of the president, abolishing the Department of Education, enacting a flurry of tax cuts, banning pornography and halting sales of the abortion pill.

For Floridians, the document’s themes and policies may sound familiar. After all, Gov. Ron DeSantis advanced many of the same ideas, pushed along by hard-right think tanks in his first six years as governor.

“You guys in Florida are living in the future,” said Nick Beauchamp, a political scientist at Northeastern University. He has written on Project 2025 and its proposals, powered by Heritage and a host of other conservative, billionaire-funded think tanks.

GOP’s Parental Litmus Test Is Absurd

Are Senators Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham unmarried, childless cat ladies? (Pensito illustration)

The Republican Party’s newest litmus test — you must have children to have a stake in the future of America — is patently absurd. Kamala Harris is a stepmother, and that counts, JD Vance and Blake Masters.

For your edification and delight, we’ve assembled a totally non-comprehensive list of childless political figures (mostly Republican) who disprove the point:

  • Tiffany Trump, Donald’s fourth child by Marla Maples. Although childless, she is married to billionaire heir Michael Boulos. And, as of 2019, Tiffany had a kitten named Petals. She is a member of “Rich Kids of Instagram.”
  • George Washington, First President of the United States and stepfather to his wife Martha Washington’s two daughters
  • James K. Polk, 11th President of the United States
  • James Buchanan, 15th President of the United States
  • Ginni Thomas, MAGA extremist, sociopathic insurrectionist, helpmate of corrupt Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas
  • Clarence Thomas, the most corrupt U.S. Supreme Court justice in living memory
  • Barry Goldwater, U.S. senator 1953 to 1965 and 1969 to 1987; Republican Party’s nominee for president in 1964
  • Bob Dole, U.S. Rep. from Kansas for eight years, served 27 years in the U.S. Senate; Republican presidential nominee in 1996 and vice presidential nominee in 1976
  • Elizabeth Dole, U.S. Senator from North Carolina 2003 to 2009; a Republican, she served in five presidential administrations, including as U.S. Secretary of Transportation under President Ronald Reagan from 1983 to 1987 and as U.S. Secretary of Labor under Reagan’s successor, George H. W. Bush, from 1989 until 1990; served as president of the American Red Cross 1991 to 1999; she sought the Republican presidential nomination in 2000
  • Condoleeza Rice, United States Secretary of State from 2005 to 2009
  • David Souter, associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court 1990 to 2009
  • George Will, an American libertarian conservative writer and political commentator, who writes regular columns for The Washington Post and provides commentary for NewsNation
    • BTW, we think Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham are indeed cat ladies:

After Trump’s Stunt in a Black Church, Poll Shows Him with 0% Support from Black Voters in Michigan

0%

Percentage of African-American voters in Michigan who say they support Trump for president in new WDIV Local-Detroit News poll. The New Republic suggests a reason for the cratering of support for Trump: “In June, Trump held a campaign event at a Black church in Detroit that revealed itself to be a blatant stunt. The campaign boasted 8,000 attendees in a space that could only seat a few hundred. At the event, which was meant to shore up his support among Black voters, roughly half of the attendees were white.”

Trump Promises Christians He Will End Elections If He Wins

Trump, July 26, 2024: “Four more years, you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine, you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians.”

The Hill: “Christians, get out and vote, just this time,” Trump exclaimed to a cheering crowd in West Palm Beach, Fla, [on July 26, 2024]. “You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine, you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians” he added. “I love you Christians. I’m a Christian. I love you, get out, you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again, we’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote,” Trump said.

Biden Campaign’s Rapid Response to Trump’s VP Pick: Vance Will ‘Enable Trump’s Extreme Right Agenda’

“Vance will do what Mike Pence wouldn’t on January 6; bend over backwards to enable Trump and his extreme MAGA agenda, even if it means breaking the law and no matter the harm to the American people.”

Jen O’Malley Dillon, who chairs President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign, said in a statement released within minutes after Trump announced that Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, will be his running mate.
