Here’s why we love Jon Stewart. Who else could so politely and articulately tell Mike Huckabee he’s full of voodoo crap on the subject of gay marriage?

Despite all the dividend promises he’s made,

I suspect that Huckabee’s God was on Jon Stewart’s side in this debate.
Religion is a choice not a choice our government’s makes for us. Thank God.
And why is it that these people have to title their books, “Do the Right Thing?” Who made them God to say what the ‘right thing’ is. Personally, since polygamy and slavery are in the Bible, maybe we should consider what is really behind this religious push? Are they trying to roll back women’s rights and pull in the right to slavery, again. In the bigger picture they are threatening women and other minorities by subsciously reaching back to the Old Testamen when they should be focusing on the “Sermon on the Mount.” But they can’t then they would have to treat everyone as equal. Now is the time to be wary of these people. Who will they go after next? Remember the “Book of Virtues” in 1993, William J. Bennett wrote the ‘virtues’ while he was addicted to gambling and other stuff when he wrote it. Never expect logic and reason when the speaker is waving the Bible as his source. They have no ears.
As Doonesbury pointed out at the time, when Bennett was Reagan’s Drug Czar, he had a two-pack a day nicotine habit.
