The Iran nuclear deal has left Republicans feeling bitter.
They sound as if we’re hurtling toward a frigid nuclear winter.
But all’s not lost,
It’s not a holocaust,
And it’s certainly not the “greatest appeasement since Chamberlain gave Czechoslovakia to Hitler.”

A number of important republicans have been insisting lately that the Iran deal is the equivalent of (or worse than) Munich. I wonder how many of them actually know what happened at Munich.
If the Iran dealt were translated into equivalent Munichs it would mean than instead of being allowed to annex the Sudetenland Hitler would gave agreed to:
rigorous inspection of specified military sites to ensure that he wasn’t preparing an attack the Sudentenland,
a procedure that would allow inspection of any German site within 30 days (or so)
to turn over 98% of his tanks to a third party.
Churchill would have been awed. The Republican party which offered Iran incontestably better deals in 2006 and 2008 should applaud.
