Romney Has a Problem with Evangelical Voters

50%

Mitt Romney has won every state where evangelical Christians account for less than 50% of Republican primary voters while he’s lost every state where they’ve been more than 50%. If recent history is any guide, enthusiasm among evangelical voters will be crucial to the Republican nominee in the general election.

  1. No enthusiasm at all for Romney from this Evangelical voter. I’m voting for a 3rd party candidate or no candidate at all if it’s a Romney vs. Obama showdown. My opinion is that Obama will beat him like my grandma used to beat out a dirty rug. Romney’s campaign war chest will be like shopping on a dimestore budget compared to Obama’s. No way will he be able to “out negative” the Dems like he’s doing to his Repulican opponents now. If the GOP nominates him then they deserve another 4 years of Obama.

    1. Your lips to the Giant Flying Spaghetti Monster’s ears, Richard. You are right about Romney — and Santorum and Gingrich would be even easier to beat because each of them would implode on their own.

You are wrong about Obama, of course. He has done a great job, especially considering the disaster handed to him by your party in January 2009. But even when he is sound asleep, Obama is a much better president than George W. Bush, the disastrous, half-witted aristocrat who was enthusiastically supported by evangelicals but who left office the most unpopular president in the history of presidential polling.
