CREW Sent Foley Emails to FBI in July But No Action Was Taken

Melanie Sloan of Citizens for Responsibility & Ethics in Washington (CREW) is on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal right now. Sloan says CREW received the first set of emails from Rep. Mark Foley to a 16 year old boy in July. They were sent to her by “a third party” (whose identity she won’t reveal) who obtained them from a congressional staffer.

CREW sent the emails to the FBI in July but apparently no action was taken. Sloan has sent a letter to the inspector general at the Justice Dept. demanding an investigation into the FBI’s inaction.

Why does this surprise me… no PResident, Senator or Congressman will EVER be arrested, prosecuted or convicted of ANY crime EVER.

All that ever happens is someone has to resign or get impeached and the other party gains votes or control of the either the White House the Congress, Senate or the Judicial appointments. This just goes to show that we have become a fake Democracy – Democrats and Republicans are and always have been functionally IMMUNE from prosecution form anything not even the FBI or the US Attorney has any power to prosecute these criminals.

The only thing the will end this the outrage of the American public voting these scumbags out of office but we know thats not going to happen because very few Americans vote or even know who the Congressperson or Senators are much less anyhting about them.

Complacancy (in addition to the recent foreign relations disasters) will cost us our position as a world superpower unless htings chenge soon.
