Trump 2011: Obama Will Start a War Because He Is Weak and Desperate to Be Reelected

Yesterday Trump ordered a raid that resulted in the death of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. By all accounts, the assassination of such a high-level military and political leader in Iran risks ignited a conflagration in the Middle East that poses a threat to peace worldwide.

Why did he do it? Trump frequently projects his own faults and foibles onto others — “Crooked Hillary,” is a prime example. Similarly, the video clip above of a rant Trump posted against his archenemy, Pres. Obama, back in 2011 provides an insight into his motives.

TRUMP: Our president will start a war with Iran because he has absolutely no ability to negotiate. He’s weak and he’s ineffective. So the only way he figures that he’s going to get reelected and as sure as you’re sitting there, is to start a war with Iran.

That’s it. Trump wants to be a wartime president — like George W. Bush. And why not? Bush was reelected in 2004 in a squeaker. It wasn’t until his second term that his presidency crashed and burned.

Trump likely also believes starting a war will distract from his impeachment and his ongoing cover-up of his crimes. He may well be able to change the subject, but he can’t the facts, and the fact is he has been impeached and always well be.

Special note for Fox viewers who may have wandered onto this page: Pres. Obama did not start a war in 2011.
