There was something known as Reaganism. It was a real movement within the party and then the nation. Reaganism had meaning. You knew what you were voting for. It was a philosophy that people understood. Philosophies are powerful. They carry you, and if they are right and pertinent to the moment they make you inevitable. … There is no such thing as Romneyism and there never will be. Mr. Romney has never encompassed a philosophical world. He has never become the symbol of an attitude toward government, or an approach to freedom or fairness. “Romneyism” is just “Mitt should be president.” That is not enough.

Obama to Seek 7 Percent Federal Budget Increase
$68 billion
Increase in the federal budget that President Obama will ask Congress for beyond the current budget limits in fiscal 2016, Bloomberg reports. “The request sets up a fight with the Republican-led House and Senate over whether to reverse part of the spending limits that Congress and the White House agreed to in a series of fiscal deals earlier this decade… It’s a bold move at a time when many Republicans in Congress say they are eager to make deeper cuts in spending and are invigorated by a November election in which they expanded their House majority and seized control of the Senate.”
Huckabee – Whose Son Tortured and Killed a Dog – Should Avoid Bashing the Obamas’ Parenting Skills

Fox News fired Mike Huckabee from his job as a chatshow host last week when he revealed he was testing the waters for another presidential run. (Interesting to know that Fox has some ethics.) Suddenly finding himself outside the right-wing limelight, Huckabee urgently needed attention, so he took a cheap shot at the Obamas’ parenting skills:
