Tea Party Congressman, Deadbeat Dad Joe Walsh, Freaks Out, Screams at Constituents Over Financial Regulations

Less than a week after being honored for his “family values” by a hate group, tea bagger congressman Joe Walsh of Illinois, an infamous deadbeat dad, was caught on tape having a meltdown during a meeting with constituents in a bar. Walsh, who owes over $100,000 in child support, spent tens of thousands of his own money to get elected to the House in 2010.

Here’s a slice of democracy in action, tea bagger style:

WALSH: Thats not the problem! The problem is you’ve got to be consistent. And I dont want government meddling in the marketplace. Yeah, they move from Goldman Sachs to the White House, I understand all of that. But you gotta’ be consistent. And it’s not the private marketplace that created this mess. What created mess was your government, which has demanded for years that everybody be in a home. And we’ve made it easy as possible for people to be in homes. […] Don’t blame banks, and don’t blame the marketplace for the mess we’re in right now! I am tired of hearing that crap! This pisses me off! Too many people don’t listen. […]

WALSH: Quiet for a minute! Quiet for a minute!

CONSTITUENT: Joe, what did I say–

WALSH: Quiet for a minute or I’m going to ask you to leave. You need to listen, or I’m going to ask you to leave.

Update: The original, clipped version of the video is no longer available. The version above from Fox News, of all sources, puts a happy face on it. “Oh, that Joe! Such a cut up.” To see the whole thing, check out the ThinkProgress YouTube page.

  1. I can’t stand the Eagles but I’m okay with Joe Walsh.

When he’s James Gang or Barnstorm.

But I can’t stand the Eagles, Boston and Black Sabbath, I like all other classic rock.

    And I mean ALL.

I’m not that prejudice against any other classic rock but them.
