Schwarzenegger Says Being Governor Cost Him $200 Million

$200 Million

Amount former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says he spent and/or failed to accrue from acting gigs during his seven years as governor. Of course, it was his choice not to move his family to Sacramento and instead fly to Los Angeles in his private jet every day — an incredibly decadent waste of time, money and fuel at a time when the state was facing financial devastation as a result of the Bush recession. And many wonder what sort of acting gigs he passed up, as no movies were in the works that featured Skynet androids who appeared to be in their 60s and who sported orange hair plugs. So what’s with the whining? The ex-gov probably feels unappreciated. He left office with a 22 percent job approval.
