The estimated 215,000 people who attended the Rally for Sanity in Washington this weekend is 2.5 times larger than the crowd of approximately 80,000 people mustered by GOP-Fox channel’s Mormon televangelist Glenn Beck and its on-staff Republican presidential candidate Sarah Palin for the “Sermon on the Mall” on August 28.

That’s definitely good news… but what really matters is whether Democrats actually get out and vote tomorrow. If they do – things could go better than expected. If they don’t – this country is in for a world of hurt.

Actually the Parks service said 350,000 as a high estimate… CBS said 89,000, which was the lowest by a network, most seemed to estimate at around 250,000-300,000. But ehh, what’s a little lie when you’re trying to make a point.
What a tired, false argument. The 87-96,000 number DOES NOT come from CBS; it comes from AirPhotosLive. CBS was just reporting it.
AirPhotosLive used the same methodology to estimate the crowd size for Obamas Inauguration, the Tax Day Tea Party rally, and the Restoring Honor rally — each time drawing criticism from the side that wants the number to be bigger.
Both rallies pulled in huge crowds; STFU
