American Solutions for Winning the Future, a Section 527 group set up in October by former Rep. Newt Gingrich (R-GA), reported receiving $1 million on 11/14/06 from Sheldon G. Adelson, chairman and CEO of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, a hotel and gaming company. The groupâ€™s goals are â€œTo build a movement which focuses on developing and implementing a generation of solutions for winning the future both here at home and abroad.â€ Also contributing to the group was Rayna Casey of Atlanta, GA. ($25,000 on 10/10), and Michael G. Berolzheimer, director of California Cedar Products ($35,000 on 11/1).
