Upon being asked for the umpteenth time why the Democrats don’t have a plan for Iraq, a Democratic leader — Rep. Charlie Rangel of New York — finally gave the right answer:
“I never understand that question, you have a President that’s in deep shit. He got us into the war, and all the reasons he gave have been proven invalid, and the whole electorate was so pissed off that they got rid of anyone they could have, and then they ask, ‘What is the Democrats’ solution?’”

TROOPS OUT NOW has to be the Domocratic solution for ending the Iraq war. Anything else amounts to staying the course. Why didn’t Congressman Rangel say that? Oh, I forgot, he also defended President Bush when Hugo Chavez identified him as the devil.
Charlie Rangel just expressed what I mutter in the direction of the tv whenever the msm says “what is the Democrat’s plan’.
Just another way of Repubs niggling at the Dems. They have the run of the place, and muck things up, then criticise us when we don’t wave a magic wand and fix it instantaneously.
Why do Dems always raise taxes? Because the Repubs run up the debt and there’s no alternative but to raise taxes.
My only question is why Dems don’t talk back like this more often.
Exactly, pax. Democrats should be much more aggressive in responding to these conservative assholes. They would win a lot more elections.
I compare this question to a situation where a guy walks into a jewelry store with a baseball bat and proceeds to smash up all the display and cabinets, sending glass and jewelry everywhere. Then, he hands the bat to the guy who just walked in the store and says, “O.K., what are you going to do to fix the place”? How foolish is that???
Of course, our conservative-controlled media never challenges these right-wing assholes on such foolishness and they continue to use these tactics.
