Everybody hates Bush now except for two-thirds of Republicans. Their delusional faith in this incompetent aristocrat is more dangerous to our national security than al Qaeda.
Only 33 percent approve of his job performance, Mr. Bush’s lowest approval rating yet in CBS News polls. A majority – 58 percent of those polled – say they disapprove of the president. Mr. Bush appears to be losing support from his own party. His approval rating among Republicans has dropped to 68 percent.
A USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken Friday through Sunday found Bush’s approval rating at 34 percent, two points under his previous low. He also received the lowest ratings of his presidency on his handling of the economy, energy and foreign affairs. He tied his previous low on Iraq: 32 percent.
What keeps two-thirds of Republicans from dumping the president? What’s holding them back. Could it be the fear that, as bad as it may be for them right now, things always could get worse, and then, who knows what?
Fortunately, for Repblicans, as well as for anyone else who supports that puppet on a string which is masquerading as our president, May Day Monday has rendered their defensive posturing both obsolete.and unnecessary. What’s it been replaced by? Solidarity, the all for one and one for all, that’s what. Without it the powers that be easily divide and conquer us. With it we the people change the world. Why isn’t his approval rating 3%, instead of 33%? Are that many people in America sociopathic, religious wackjobs with unresolved Oedipal complexes? That is the really scary part of these polls…
From what I can tell, the remaining supporters are: 1) rich people getting wealthier off Bush’s policies (lower taxes, investments in oil/defense companies); 2) rednecks whose #1 priority, above everything else, is unrestricted gun access (lots and lots of these sick folks in Kansas); and/or 3) evangelicals who think they are being Godly by ensuring pro-life judges fill open positions on the Supreme Court.
How do you make these narrow people realize that Bush is ruining our country with deficits, corruption and incompetence; is the anti-Christ; and may be responsible for destroying this world as we know it due to environmental negligence and/or by starting a major nuclear war?
