Bush Compares UAE to ‘Great British’

“I want those who are questioning [the president’s plan to allow the sale of major U.S. ports to the government of the United Arab Emerits] to step up and explain why all of a sudden a Middle Eastern company is held to a different standard than a Great British company. I’m trying to conduct foreign policy now by saying to people of the world, we’ll treat you fairly. And after careful scrutiny, we believe this deal is a legitimate deal that will not jeopardize the security of the country, and at the same time, send that signal that we’re willing to treat people fairly.”

  1. I can’t stand having a president who talks like Jimmy Cagney. “This is a legitimate deal, see? It’s a good deal, or I wouldn’t buy it. Get it, Toots?”

  2. This whole issue is about the long-standing business ties between the Bush family and the Saudi Royal family. WHY won’t the media talk about that? Go to http://www.centerforamericanprogress.org to read about this realtionship or just enter ‘bush family suadi royal’ into Google to hit dozens of site with articles about this proven fact.
