93% of black homicide victims were killed by other blacks. Not sure why you conveniently left this stat out of your post? It was located directly underneath the data you felt the need to share and misappropriate in the title of your post.
Since your sensationalist title is way off, I did the work for you. Here’s the “of all murders” data you misappropriated in the title…
45.3% of all homicides committed by whites while whites accounted for 50.3% of the victims of homicide. (-5% offender/victim ratio)
52.5% of all homicides committed by blacks while blacks accounted for 47.4% of the victims of homicide. (+5.1% offender/victim ratio)
2.2% of all homicides committed by other races while other races accounted for 2.3% of the victims of homicide. (-0.1% offender/victim ratio)

Buddy, the point is that 84% all murders of white people are committed by other white people. We need to get our own house in order before we criticize other races for having unacceptably high rates of intra-racial murders.

@ Jon, you do realize that the white population is 5x higher than black population. Somewhere around 230 million for whites as opposed to 42 million for blacks. You do realize that right? the funny thing with statistics is every one wants to zero in on 1 key number. But there is much more to it than just one number.

Some things that have changed over the years. Number of murders per year have dropped over the past 20 years. The number of blacks killed by blacks has remained consistent. Number of whites killing whites even with 5 times the population has decreased. The number of White on black murders, crimes violent crimes has DECREASED. # of black on white crimes has remained consistent.
I think Jon is upset about the same thing as I am. Black community since this Treyvon Martin thing likes to throw out a stat or a number here and there and act as if that is the only stat there is. But there is always more to it.

Your population statistics i.e. number of white population being 5 times more than black does not add credibility to your argument. Percentages would remain relatively stable even if the populations increased. On the surface, the argument sounds credible; math says otherwise. Your “Trayvon thing” comment indicates your stance, as it sounds dismissive. Fact is, Zimmerman had a gun;consequently,young man is dead. Guns and poor judgement don’t mix.

But do you realize that suggesting that either of these murder rates is based on race rather than sociological factors and other circumstances is, in fact, racism of the vilest sort?

you do realize most murders are by people with some kind of relationship weather it be friend husband wife etc. so stats are worthless. Most black people know other black people most white people know other white people. How about let’s eliminate people on people crime.
Lolo, I completely agree that most murders are committed among people who have relationships, but the conservative meme is that most black people are killed by other black people, as if the same were not true of most Chinese people, etc.

Is “other circumstances” a hint of genetic predisposition? There are only a handful of majority black countries with a homicide rate of less than 6 per 100,000. The homicide rate for American whites is the same as Norway and Ireland.
Denial, ignorance or both. Many Whites are so concerned about race preservation. I have no problem with that whatsoever. With those whom are solely concerned with this self preservation, it is truly a puzzle to me as to why you concern yourself with the rate of Black on Black crime. Perhaps you should be happy with that statistic. On the other hand, you should be very, very concerned with the rate of White on White crime. Based on 3000 white victims, 2500 are victims of other Whites. Yet when you encounter a Black or Minority in your vicinity; you immediately enter a defensive mode. Regardless of demographic populations, more than 8 of 10 White victims are victims of White offenders. I am ashamed of the Black on Black crime rate as well as the Black on any race crime rate. Perhaps the finger pointing Whites (not all Whites) should examine their own racial violence issues.

That is an interesting fact. However, have you stopped to think about the fact that non black hispanics are
indeed half white, and some are mostly white? So, why can’t they fall under the same ethnic group?
I was recently informed by correctional officers working in the state of Georgia that the prisons they work in list all incarcerated whites as caucasian, and all non-whites as black. That alone can make black numbers appear higher than they really are.
Additionally, I am genuinely confused when I hear or read white people speak of genetic predispositions for violence.
I am a history teacher, and I have yet to study one single ethnic group that compares to Whites/Caucasians/Europeans when it comes to violence.
I have yet to hear of any group other than whites who were disturbed enough to create weapons of torture. Your history is both monstrous and barbaric. You should be the last people to speak on any groups behavior if you are not first addressing your own. Now, I can understand how that may be a hard pill to swallow, but it is a fact.
Read about the Germans in Nahbibia before WWII. Read about king Leopold in the Congo. Read about the Portuguese in Brazil. Simply read!
Then, research what Africa was like before European colonization. It wasn’t the same. Europeans worked extremely hard to divide and conquer the Africans. What we see now is a result of what Europeans put into action. Have you ever seen Hotel Rwanda? Read the history and the very strong role Europeans played in it.
These stats are very revealing. I am an African American activist in Los Angeles and I continually use these numbers when I testify in front of the L. A. Board of Police Commission and the L. A. City Council. Whites murder whites and blacks murder blacks. There are tens of thousands of lilly whites towns all over America that are considered. Gun em down drug runners town with millions of white people in them and no blacks or latinos in them. Biker gangs etc. This is where many of the white on white murders happened. Ok, I’ve seen all these percentages. I’ve seen all the numbers for blacks being killed (by police or other blacks). The one number that eludes me is exactly how many white people are killed by whites each year. No percentages, I’m looking for a number. Anyone care to help?
Its very sad that most studies and stats have a very high concentration on black people who commits crime. However, there is crime within every demographic. However, it is some white people who love to have that superior attitude or complex even when it comes to crime. For example, this article is about white on white crime being at 84%. But, it is always a white person, who can’t stay on topic and have to bring in the black crime state, as to say, “yea, we are killing each other at 84%, but at least our percentage is lower than the black crime stat”. Anyway to belittle the black community, they will take it. But that’s how America was built, blacks have always been treated as 2nd class human beings and will always be looked upon as that. However, black people are strong, resilient, and brave. they will outlast stereotypes, and racism.
