I was wrong: On Tuesday, I wrote, “Even so, there is some new evidence [CIA Leak case special prosecutor Patrick] Fitzgerald may have whiffed on going up the chain in the Libby trial. Either he didn’t know about Karl Rove’s secret email system, or he deliberately failed to subpoena all of Rove’s correspondence.”
That was incorrect. In January 2006, Fitzgerald made a filing that indicated he had been informed by the White House that some emails sent by senior staff had been improperly archived and were missing:
Fitzgerald revealed that his investigative team “learned that not all email of the Office of the Vice President and the Executive Office of the President for certain time periods in 2003 was preserved through the normal archiving process on the White House computer system.”
A recent audit by the Office of Administration showed that as many as 5 million emails were lost. What is unclear now is whether the White House was fully truthful with Fitzgerald about the scope of the missing emails.
We really need to shake ourselves out of this nightmarish half-sleep we’re in and make Congress impeach these murdering liars.
How many innocent people were put to death by Bush and Gonzales in Texas? Will they ever be held accountable?
How many innocent people have died for Bush’s insanity because he hasn’t been stopped yet?
How many more will die?
What more do we need to see to understand that they are vigorously persuing a course that will disenfranchise any group that could remove them from power?
What more will it take?
The illusion of their incompetence is just that – an illusion. They are only incompetent about things they don’t care about, like New Orleans, or winning in Iraq, (no, they don’t care about winning in Iraq, they care about staying until they control Iraq’s oil).
They are single-mindedly competent in their pursuit of the things they do care about; control of the world’s oil, consolidated power for themselves, profit above all else.
They will never, NEVER willingly relinquish power. It will have to be taken from them by force.

Randi Rhoads has always said (and I agree) that the PLAN for Iraq was chaos … to make it easy to steal the money (plane loads of it) and enrich the oil companies and the defense firms. The only construction the US has been able to sustain is the $1 billion embassy compound that is as large as Vatican City. Does that sound like we’re planning to get out any time in this century?
