Beck Suggests Both Bush Administrations Were Complicit in International Caliphate Conspiracy

Glenn Beck is no longer just America’s best known televangelist — sorry, Pat Robertson — he is now the nation’s self-anointed prophet of doom.

Any minute now, sayeth the Prophet, the West will be overthrown by a cabal of socialists, communists and Islamic extremists who, despite their radically different, even polar-opposite ideologies, are working shoulder to shoulder, bent on establishing an international Muslim theocratic empire headquartered in Iraq, built on the ruins of ancient Babylon.

The conspiracy is so deep, says Beck, that the “uber left” group Code Pink — liberal, feminist antiwar activists — is in cahoots with the Islamic Brotherhood — an 80-year-old, far right, transnational Muslim political organization. Why would liberals like Code Pink work along with Islamic extremists to establish a global caliphate, a right-wing theocratic empire where free thinkers like themselves would likely be rounded up and beheaded?

Because, sayeth Beck, liberals, socialists and communists, like Muslims, hate Jews.

Oy. But wait, there’s more:

BECK: Iraq is really important, especially to the Shiites, especially to the Twelvers who are in charge of [Iraq] right now. Because what is in Iraq? There’s one place that [Bush I and Bush II military officials] told our bombers not to bomb. Does anybody know what it was?

Two wars in Iraq. We said no bombing there. Ancient Babylon. Ancient Babylon. Why? Because the Bible tells us that that is the seat — right here — of power of a global, evil empire.

Well, that’s also where the 12th imam from Iran is supposedly going to show up. Everybody on this side wants ancient Babylon for their caliphate.

Got that? By ordering the preservation of ruins of Babylon, 40 centuries old, both the Bush I and Bush II administrations were complicit in the conspiracy to replace Western culture with a “global, evil empire.” Both George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush were in on it, along with senior administration officials ranging in ideology from the heartless neocon Dick Cheney, who was Bush I’s defense secretary and Bush II’s vice president, to the less-delusional liberal Republican Colin Powell, who served as Joint Chiefs chair during the Gulf War and as secretary of state for Bush I.

Amazingly, in the 19 years since the Gulf War and nearly eight years since the invasion of Iraq, none of the dozens of Bush I and II officials and senior military officers involved in the conspiracy has revealed secret of this nefarious enterprise — that only makes sense if you believe the Bush II officials kept their roles in masterminding the 9/11 secret, too.

No matter. Their collective secrecy is no match for the prophetic powers of Glenn Beck. The seeing eye knows all. Liberals, progressives, socialists, communists, Islamicists and senior Bush officials are all complicit.

The caliphate is coming, he said last week. “I plant my flag in this soil.”
