Notice in the video of this tea-bagger style rally against the Park 51 Islamic center near City Hall in Manhattan, that one of the few — if not the only African American in the crowd is harassed and even threatened.
They will say he provoked them by daring to wear a white Muslim-ish cap where the crowd could see it. But given the tea baggers’ record on race, why should they be given the benefit of a doubt?
To their credit, no one spat on him or called him a “nigger” loudly enough to be heard on the video.

[At] some point during the rally, a dark-skinned man wearing an Under Armor skullcap and what looks like a necklace with a Puerto Rican flag walked through the anti-“Mosque” crowd. The crowd, astutely recognizing that he was on his way to build the mosque, began to chant “NO MOSQUE HERE” at him. In the video, someone says, “run away, coward.” The man turns around, perturbed. “Y’all motherfuckers don’t know my opinion about shit,” he says. Au contraire, my friend: You are a black man wearing a skullcap, after all! You are definitely a pro-Mosque, anti-freedom Jihadist! Why, aren’t you, in fact… Osama Bin Laden??
No, actually, according to the guy who uploaded the video to YouTube, the skullcap-wearing gentleman’s name is Kenny and he’s “a Union carpenter who works at Ground Zero.” Kenny is also–as he points out several times in the video–not a Muslim. (No word on whether or not he voted for Obama, as one of the very reasonable and intelligent-sounding anti-“Mosque” protestors speculates.) But I’ll bet you Kenny has been totally convinced about the truth of the Burlington Coat Factory Desecration Community Center. Who wouldn’t be?
The way they reacted to Kenny’s presence at their rally shows how easily they allow their emotions to overrule any remnants of reason and/or commonsense they have left after allowing themselves to be manipulated by Geller, Burlingame, Palin, Gingrich, and others. One of the most painful things for me is that they cannot see that they’re being used by these odious creatures. However, I must give Joe Scarborough, of whom I’m not a fan, credit for calling them out on his show yesterday AM, and for revealing that their goals include bringing down the Obama Administration and promoting their own political careers.
