Here’s a note from a Beckerhead who happened upon our story mocking Glenn Beck for misspelling the word “oligarch” in one of his blackboard rants about liberals or whatever. If it’s for real, the note is sad, really, and posting it is mean — but what the heck. Here it is, unedited by me and obviously not proofread by the author:
I know that this post is a little behind to be commeing on. I tried to read all of it to get a clear view on why the harsh, non-sensical views pointed at Glenn Beck by blogger and the “in the tank” media. I couldn’t stomach it. Only because I am looking to show of GB’s achillies heal (Gosh~ I hope I spelled it right).
I thought how mundane to only find a spelling error. I right way better since I took a year of English Composition. I used to right like my daughters text messages do today. I still spell things wrong. It is lunacy to go after this nonsensical detail. Then a few sentances later you slight his viewers with a dig at thier collective intelligence. WOW! trully intelligent of you that was. YOu can’t get the ear of people that way. You may only be preaching to the choir.
I know of GB’s achillies heal. I know whst could bring him down a notch, maybe then some. It isn’t by name calling, especially to his listeners. I am one of those listeners, who is relatively endowed with a modicum of brain cells. As most of his listeners do. If the left was smart they would avail themselves of some intelligence others may have. They need to stop looking like a bunch of slobbering pitbulls, ready to protect thier masters.
Being an activist doesn’t have to hurt. You have been taught wrong. I understand why the weather undergraound and thier clan thought that this was the right time to take it all. Tch! Tch! Tch! they once again got too in a hurry. Howeverm after roosevekt and Wilson, it was too long to wait, I guess.
Thanks for your time. I hope the left will turn around, or at least calm down. You are losing control.
So, the writer has had English composition. What I want to know is who was the teacher? The teacher needs to be sent back to college or fired. God Bless the writer, they need to continue their schooling. And they need to face the truth about Glenn Beck.

I especially like the reference to “slobbering pit bulls” after the way the tea partiers behaved at last year’s town hall events.
The Weather Underground has been defunct for decades, and so have Roosevelt and Wilson. I wonder which Roosevelt he/she was referring to since there have been two of them who have been POTUS.
I taught social studies for 33 years in GA, and it was always an uphill battle against this type of ignorance, especially in my civics and U.S. History classes. The students and their parents were dedicated Fuchs Noose and rw radio fans, and even though the textbook presented the facts, and I provided clear examples by using current events, the students were still heavily influenced by the propaganda and would often repeat it. They’d study the material and pass tests and quizzes, but the ignorance remained. Ministers in the churches they attended would reinforce these fallacies by incorporating them into their sermons and church activities.
