A Goniff for Pontiff?
A 100-plus days in and we’re just trying to cope,
As Trump’s imperial presidency becomes more than a trope.
He wants to be governor of Canada
And Greenland‘s Grand Poobah,
And the megalomaniac even imagines himself as Pope.
Trump’s Canadian Conundrum
When Trump talks annexing Canada, he’s being literal.
But he’s not really thinking, he’s feeling visceral.
Look Donald, we’ve got to warn ya —
Do you really want a second California
By adding another 40 million people who vote liberal?
Trump Was the Big Loser (Again) in Canada’s Election
“So Trump has produced a revived government in Ottawa with a distinct mandate to fight him tooth and nail. But that’s not the only way he was a loser on Monday. It’s not at all unusual for politicians to rally domestic support by picking a fight with other countries; it’s a jingoistic political tale as old as time. In this case, there is zero evidence (outside the hardest core of MAGA loyalists) that Americans have rallied to Trump’s Canada-bashing cause. Au contraire, as they might say in Quebec …. If that’s not enough, the president’s persistent bullying of Canada has drawn extra attention to his single most unpopular economic policy initiative: the on-again, off-again trade war that has unsettled markets everywhere and convinced price-conscious Americans that inflation is about to make a comeback.”

Trump’s Imperial Presidency
About Trump’s imperial presidency, here’s the thing —
He could wear a crown and ermine coat and fancy ring,
But he doesn’t know what he’s doing,
And with millions of lives he’s screwing,
And we’re finding that it really sucks to have an incompetent king.
Republicans Split on Trump’s Imperialistic Designs on Greenland, Gaza
41%; 44%
A new Pew Research poll finds that by more than a two-to-one margin, Americans oppose rather than favor the U.S. taking over Greenland or Gaza. More Republicans support (41%) than oppose (28%) Trump’s proposal to take over Greenland, though around three-in-ten (31%) are unsure. But, in the case of taking over Gaza, more Republicans oppose (44%) than support (27%) the idea.
Let’s Rename Greenland!
Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) introduced a new bill to rename Greenland — after the U.S. acquires it — to “Red, White and Blue Land.”

85% of Greenlanders Do Not Want to Become Part of U.S.
85%
As much as President Donald Trump wants Greenland to become part of the United States, Greenlanders do not want to join the U.S., reports the Daily Beast. So says a poll conducted for Greenlandic newspaper Sermitsiaq and Denmark’s Berlingske, which found that an overwhelming 85 percent of the Danish island territory’s residents oppose becoming a part of the United States. A mere 6 percent are in favor.
FYI, It’s NOT Green
In a couple of weeks Trump takes command,
And we hope he focuses on domestic stuff, like Cleveland.
The polar vortex is nice,
But we have enough ice,
So please let the Danes keep frigid Greenland.
