It’s More than a ‘She Said, He Said’ Situation
Just to correct you, it’s a she said, she said, she said, she said, she said, she said, she said, she said, she said situation.
— Jake Tapper, on CNN, when Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC) called groping allegations against Donald Trump “a she said, he said situation.”
Clinton Widens National Lead
9 points
A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll finds Hillary Clinton is consolidating a substantial lead over Donald Trump less than a month before Election Day, 48% to 37%, with Gary Johnson at 7%. Key finding: “While Mr. Trump’s core supporters haven’t abandoned him and not defected to the Democratic side, Mrs. Clinton’s gains stem from a widening advantage among women and the support of voters who had been undecided or planning to vote for third-party candidates.”
Clinton Says She Takes ‘No Satisfaction’ in Trump Campaign Collapse
This election is incredibly painful. I take absolutely no satisfaction in what is happening on the other side with my opponent. I am not at all happy about that because it hurts our country, it hurts our democracy, it sends terrible messages to so many people here at home and around the world.
— Hillary Clinton, commenting on Donald Trump’s collapsing campaign, the AP reports.
Kasich to GOP: Evolve or Die
I will tell you that if the Republican Party does not evolve, the Republican Party is going to die.
— Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R), in an interview with Business Insider.
12 Women Have Come Forward Alleging Trump Assaulted Them
12
Number of women who “came forward this week to allege sexual misconduct by Donald Trump in cases that echo the vulgar conduct he described in the 2005 Access Hollywood tape that surfaced last week. Trump has denied the stories and is threatening legal action against some of the news outlets,” reports USA Today.
Half of Trump Supporters Don’t Believe Government Economic Data
48%
The latest Marketplace-Edison Research survey shows economic anxiety “is up to 36 from 30 a year ago (the scale runs 0-100). But that’s not the depressing part of the poll’s findings. It’s this: 25 percent of Americans ‘completely distrust the economic data reported by the federal government, including statistics like the unemployment rate, the number of jobs added, and the amount of consumer spending.’ Perhaps unsurprisingly, that number soars to 48% of Donald Trump supporters compared to just 5% of Hillary Clinton supporters.”
Just Feels Ugly
As more women come forward, Trump’s more combative.
Maybe his libido’s just overactive.
But that begs the question:
Why did he grope ’em,
If, as he says, they’re so unattractive?
