Dr. Democrat: Don’t Be Fooled by Phony Hillary Email Scandal

doctordemocrat2Dear Dr. Democrat:

In light of this CNN story, which Republican or tea partier do you think will be our next president? Because it damn sure won’t be a Democrat.

Discouraged in Destin

Dear Discouraged:

Don’t be!

Honestly, truly, sincerely, this is nothing. Less than nothing.

Karl Rove wiped 22 million emails in the middle of the U.S. Attorney scandal and the Valerie Plame criminal investigation. Nothing happened to him — in fact, it was barely even a scandal at the time. This is all smoke and mirrors by the GOP. I’ll admit it’s working, but there’s absolutely no “there” there.

Keep in mind, they all have these servers. If Hillary’s gets the spotlight so will theirs. They know this. It’s too risky.

They can have Yahoo and Gmail accounts, too, like Sarah Palin did. And let’s see the email stored on the server at treygowdy.com while we’re looking at everybody’s emails.

I have to say that I no longer find CNN’s political reporting to be credible. This instance is a good example. CNN is playing its viewers on Hillary’s “email scandal” just as they played their viewers on the other Clinton scandals and helped cheerlead Bush & Cheney’s “marketing” of the Iraq invasion. Everything — everything — they report about the left has to be taken with a grain of salt. They are editorially so obsessed with avoiding being accused of being liberal that when they think they’re reporting “both sides,” they almost always skew to the right.

In the meantime, what about Jeb? He’s about to announce he’s raised up $100 million, just like W did in 1999, more than a year out. The best way to ensure that a Democrat wins is to sideline him now and force the GOP to nominate a never-gonna-be-elected candidate like Scotty Walker.

Feb. 13, 2015: Gawker — Jeb’s Email Transparency Is a Total Joke

March 13, 2015: Politifact — Jeb edited his own emails (which is right-leaning Politifact’s way of saying he deleted them) — Mostly True (which is how they say something is 100% true when a Republican does something wrong)

The article says that Florida law allowed Bush to delete whatever he wanted. That seems strange. It also says he deleted 300,000 emails vs Hillary Clinton’s 50,000.

March 16, 2015: CNN — Does Jeb Bush Have Hillary Clinton’s Email Problem? The article suggests Jeb broke a state law by deleting 300,000 emails.

March 24, 2015: AP — Jeb Bush Had Another Email Account While Florida Governor

I could go on, but you get the point. We’re still in early days, so it’s way too soon to get discouraged, Discouraged.
